Fueling healthier futures through football and nutrition

As a premium meal prep company, FuelHub is committed to improving health and wellbeing through effortless, balanced nutrition. Our partnership with City in the Community reflects a shared belief that access to nutritious food and physical activity plays a vital role in supporting children’s development.

With increased national focus on child poverty and holiday hunger, this collaboration provides a practical, community-based solution—ensuring young people receive the fuel they need to thrive.

Supporting City in the Community Soccer Schools in 2026

FuelHub will supply nutritionist-designed meals for children aged 6–16 attending City in the Community Soccer Schools throughout 2026.

The programme will run across 39 days of school holiday activity at locations including the Manchester City Football Academy, located right next to The Etihad Stadium.

The initiative is expected to support hundreds of children across Greater Manchester, providing consistent access to high-quality meals alongside structured sessions.

Tackling holiday hunger with healthy meals

Holiday hunger remains a major challenge for families when schools are closed. FuelHub meals ensure children attending Soccer Schools receive balanced, high-protein, nutritionist-approved meals designed to support energy, focus, and recovery.

Participants are also encouraged to take additional meals home, helping to:

Reduce food insecurity during school holidays

Support families beyond the programme

Encourage long-term healthy eating habits

This approach allows nutrition to make a lasting impact—both on and off the pitch.

Promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and active lifestyles

City in the Community Soccer Schools provide a safe, inclusive environment where young people can stay active, build confidence, and feel supported during the school holidays.

The partnership aligns with CITC’s 2025–2028 strategy, which places young people at the heart of its work and focuses on empowering healthier lives through football, education, and community engagement.

“We’re proud to work with City in the Community to ensure young people are properly fuelled while taking part in their Soccer Schools. At FuelHub, we transform the health and wellbeing of everyday high-performers through nutritionist-designed meals. This programme gives children the energy, confidence, and focus to get the most from every session, while helping them build healthy habits for the future.”
